The Lightshine Lab

I created the community I needed.

I left orthodox Christianity in my mid-20s after being incredibly active as a missionary, worship leader, and bible study teacher. Immediately upon leaving, I found myself absolutely alone with no friends and no guidance. I remained spiritually alone for years.

Talk about wandering in deserts.

I knew I loved God. I knew I wanted to know God outside of the confines of religion and group-think. Looking back, I wish I had a spiritual family to embrace me, understand me, and point me toward important resources. I would have loved to meet people willing to walk with me, befriend me, and hold space for me when I needed it the most.

I didn’t have that. I was alone.

And so I built the community I needed.

A Spiritual Home For Everybody

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are on the journey. You can be in religion or out of it. You can even be agnostic or atheist. You can be of any ethnicity, have any preference, embrace any belief system. What you bring with you doesn’t matter as much as that you come.

The Lab is a non-judgmental community based entirely on love. All of our interactions, even when debating the nature of an idea or concept, are rooted in love. We strive to give the other person the benefit of the doubt. We are intentional with how we interact with others. We are grateful for all that is being offered in the space, every day.

The great thing about The Lab is that there is always room for one more! Ask to join, check out our broadcasts, readings and healings, the Free Library, and more!

I can’t wait to see you there!
