Symbols are an integral part of cultures and belief systems across the world. Certain symbols have been used throughout centuries for specific purposes and define the religion of their origin. For instance the Cross is synonymous with Christianity and wearing the crucifix supposedly grants protection to its wearer. The mystical ‘AUM’ symbol is important in Hinduism and is a vital part of most forms of Eastern meditation. Symbols are often associated with specific gods and their attributes and are often used as lucky charms or for protection.
Yet symbols aren’t just about gods, goddesses, religion, and spirituality. Many symbols are used to shift or enhance specific areas of our day-to-day lives. When used correctly, certain symbols have the power to change our lives. For example, you can use specific symbols to manifest better health or a new career or even a soul mate relationship. Symbols can be used by each and every one of us to manifest the kind of life we truly desire.
Below are some popular symbols with guidelines on how to use them to manifest what you desire.
The Sri Yantra/Sri Chakra Symbol:
An ancient symbol from India, the Sri Yantra symbol is used in several Hindu, tantric and even Buddhist traditions and is a complex geometrical shape composed of nine main triangles to form an interlocking loom or machine. Sri Yantra literally translates as the ‘Instrument of Power’. Even science has confirmed the mystical power of this symbol, with research suggesting that simply looking at it can induce a hypnotic state of mind.
There are nine levels (correlating to the nine main triangles) which the devotee must go through to manifest the full power of the symbol. Begin by staring at the center of the symbol, and gradually move outwards shape by shape, allowing meanings to naturally emerge. Once through all nine triangles, reverse the process. Do this until you can see the symbol in your mind’s eye. Seeing it in your mind’s eye means you are activating the symbol. Once activated the symbol becomes magnetic and you can now use it to manifest what you desire. Hold the activated symbol in your mind’s eye while also introducing the energy/visualization/symbol of your desired object/condition/experience. Hold both of these simultaneously. The Sri Yantra symbol, magnetic, will begin to draw your desire to you.
The SHEFA Symbol:
Often featured in silver pendants, the knowledge of this symbol was received from the Angel Metraton through a channel named Dvora Pearlman. Shefa is a Hebrew word that means abundance, and the Shefa symbol depicts the flow of energy and abundance from the Creator to the individual. Used correctly, this symbol will manifest abundance in your life in accordance with Creator (or Source) Energy.
To use this symbol, find a place where you can be alone, undisturbed, and quiet. When you’ve done this, get into the Receiver Position, which is a state of supreme availability and willingness. Go through a grounding technique and also one that opens your chakras, and in particular your seventh, or crown chakra. We receive divine energy and inspiration into our bodies through the crown chakra, which is why it must be open and activated. When it is, begin drawing down divine power into yourself. As the divine energy pours down into you, visualize and hold the Shefa symbol in your mind’s eye. Begin “playing” with the symbol, which means moving it around, rotating it, making it 3D. Let the Shefa symbol travel throughout your various bodily systems, into your cells, into your chakra energies and your grid (or auric) energies. Let the Shefa symbol permeate all of this until you are surrounded by and utterly filled with this symbol. When you have achieved this you have activated the symbol and it is now magnetically drawing abundance to you.
A form of alternative medicine that developed in Japan and has spread across the world, Reiki uses the technique of palm healing or hands-on healing to cure people, drawing on the supply of universal energy.
Comprised of three main ‘degrees’, Reiki offers a host of symbols to suit various purposes, for example to attract money or to remove a roadblock. Not only are Reiki symbols incredibly complex, there are fixed rules for drawing and mediating on them and some symbols are revealed only after the initiate has crossed a certain level. Known to produce astonishing results, you can sign up for a Reiki course to harness the power of these symbols.
The simplest of all symbols, you can use it by creating a hand gesture using both your hands in the shape of a triangle. There are two ways to go about it. Staring into the opening, you can chant your affirmations or state your desires directed to the universe or you can use it to frame a particular object symbolizing your desire and charge it with your intentions. The symbol grants your desires as it is a powerful tool to focus both your intention and your vibration.
The Runic Alphabet:
Connected to Norse mythology, and from where several of our modern day English alphabets have been derived.
Runes are a way to manifest your dreams. In ancient times they were inscribed on stones or small wood pieces and used for fortune telling. Given that certain runes are associated with particular attributes, you can focus on a specific symbol to attract your desired result. For instance the cross-shaped ‘Gifu’ rune standing for love can be used to attract your soul mate or a new partnership, while ‘Kenaz’ is useful for attracting luck.
You can meditate on a particular rune, inscribe a combination on an amulet or even tattoo a rune symbol onto your body.
Some final instructions applicable to all symbol work:
Before using a particular symbol, make sure to be in a proper frame of mind. It is best to meditate and be in a state of allowance and intention. Be clear about what you want to attract without being overly wedded to specific outcomes. Do not be too specific (God knows best how to give you what you want) but at the same time, don’t be too general. Maintain a high vibration, which means that you are happy, content, and grateful. (The energy of desperation and need repels intentional manifestation.) Think about using an altar, flowers, and/or colored candles to create the right atmosphere for doing your symbol work. Make sure all you ask for is in alignment with Source Energy and for the highest good of all involved. Finish your symbol work by thanking God (/the Universe/Source/Creator) and feeling grateful for all that you have in your life right now.
